Is it possible to post bail bonds for someone if they get arrested over the holidays? My sister and I are both in law school and we were talking about this at dinner tonight. She seems to think that people can post San Diego bail bonds on Thanksgiving, but I’ve heard that jails don’t let defendants out on holidays. Can you help settle this argument for us?
We hope you didn’t make any bets with your sister, because she’s the one who is correct! Bail bonds can be posted 7-days a week, 365-days a year, weekends and holidays included. There are, however, some jails that won’t accept bail bonds in the middle of the night unless they defendant has a ride home, but the majority of the jails will accept bail bonds 24-hours a day.
If you have any other questions about how bail works or if you have any other questions about how the arrest, booking and bail bonds process works please feel free to call our office at 888-224-5266 to speak with a licensed bondsman.
