Two men who have been accused of holding up a series of Metro PCS stores throughout San Diego County have been taken into custody.
The arrest came after the pair tried to hold up yet another Metro PCS retailer in Pacific Beach.
The first suspect was taken into custody about a block from the store, police said. The second suspect was found a short time after. A spokesperson for the San Diego Police Department said the suspects were seen throwing things while they were being chased.
It’s believed those items were stolen cell phones.
The men, who have not yet been identified, were transported to the San Diego Central Jail to be booked and processed. A total of 9 stores have been robbed over a three-week period. It’s not yet clear what the total loss has been to the retailer. The suspects will likely be charged with grand theft and armed robbery.
