SDSU Police & Booking Process
5500 Campanile Drive
San Diego, CA 92182
The officers of the SDSU Police Department have the same law enforcement authority as any other officer in the state. They patrol the campus 24-hours a day to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff.
Anyone arrested on campus will be transported to either the Central Jail (men) or the Las Colinas Jail (women). At the jail, they will go through the booking process, which can take between 2-4 hours. Arrestees are fingerprinted and photographed, and a background check and warrant search will be done.
Bail is set according to the San Diego County bail schedule. Once it has been set, we can go to the jail to post the bond for their release. It can be several hours more for your loved one to be released from jail, depending on what is happening inside the jail at the time.
As soon as you learn of your loved one’s arrest, call us at 619-785-3077. We can get started on the paperwork right away to make sure your loved one is released from jail as quickly as possible.
