The Imperial Beach Sheriff’s Station is operated by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. The station provides law enforcement services to the city of Imperial Beach and the surrounding communities. Anyone arrested in these areas will be transported to either the San Diego Central Jail (men) or the Las Colinas Jail (women).
Once someone has been arrested and taken to the jail, they will undergo the booking process. They will be fingerprinted and photographed. A background check and warrant search will be done. They will be searched for weapons and drugs. Personal property is collected and held until their release from the jail.
Bail will be set once the booking process is complete. This can take several hours. If the arrestee does not get bailed out, they will remain in custody until the court case has been resolved.
