Officers stationed at SDPDCD serve approximately 103,542 people in an area encompassing 9.7 square miles. The San Diego Police Department’s Central Division has one station location and two storefronts. This division serves the communities of Barrio Logan, Balboa Park, Cortez Hill, Core-Columbia, the Gaslamp, Harborview, Golden Hill, East Village, Horton Plaza, Little Italy, Memorial, Sherman Heights, Park West, Stockton and South Park.

The SDPD Central Division does not have a standalone jail facility. All persons who have been arrested in SDPDCD neighborhoods will be transported to either Las Colinas Jail or San Diego Central Jail (SDCJ) to be booked and processed. Women are transported to Las Colinas and men are taken to SDCJ.
