North Park residents are worried about the recent upticks in crime and now, members of the San Diego Police Department are asking for help in bringing the criminals to justice.
The most recent incident took place late last week, when a man and woman pulled their car up alongside a Korean woman and asked her for directions.
The target was helping her mother into her car, and that’s when the man got outside of his vehicle and began to approach her. Once the woman told him how to get to his desired destination he demanded she turn over her purse.
But instead of giving that up, she turned and tried to make a run for it. That’s when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot her in the shoulder.
North Park residents say they’re concerned, especially since no one believed this type of thing would happen on the 4000 block of Ohio Street in broad daylight- especially since this isn’t considered to be a bad neighborhood.
San Diego Police Department officials are asking anyone who might have information about the crime to please come forward.
When the suspects are captured they’ll be arrested and booked into the San Diego jails where they will be held pending bail bonds.
