The San Diego Police Department Northern Division serves neighborhoods located close to the Interstate 5- Interstate 805 split. They include Black Mountain Ranch, Torrey Highlands, North City, Carmel Valley, Torrey Preserve, Del Mar Heights and Sorrento Valley.

This station is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Those needing to file police reports on Tuesdays or Wednesday are asked to do so at the Northeastern Division station.
Persons arrested in a neighborhood served by the SDPD Northwestern Division will be taken to one of the county jails to be booked and processed. Men are taken to the San Diego Central jail in downtown San Diego. Women are taken to the Las Colinas Detention Facility in Santee.
