The students, faculty and staff at the UCSD campus are protected 24-hours a day by the UCSD University Police Department. Officers are endowed with the same law enforcement authority as any officer in California.
When someone is arrested on campus, they will likely be taken either to the Men’s Central Jail or the Las Colinas Jail for booking. Between these two detention facilities, there are approximately 90,000 bookings annually. Women are housed at the Las Colinas Jail. The booking process consists of fingerprints, photographs, warrant search and background check. It can take several hours to complete booking.
Once the defendant has been fully booked into the jail, bail will be set using guidelines in the county bail schedule. A Bond can only be posted for a defendant’s release after they have finished being booked.
We can post bonds at any San Diego County jail 24-hours a day. To get started on a bail bond for your loved one, call 619-785-3077 as soon as you learn of their arrest.
